STONEWALL BOCCE SEASON 21 - Spring 2023

Stonewall Bocce DC was founded in 2011 and is based on the belief that a league should be inclusive, fun, and make our local community stronger. The league has grown from approximately 80 players in Season 1 to over 800 players today.

Stonewall Bocce DC is an LGBTQIA+ league that is part of Stonewall Sports, Inc., a registered non-profit organization that strives to support varied charitable organizations while providing a low-cost, fun and inclusive environment for our members.

We believe every person should have the opportunity to be their whole selves while participating in an organized sports league that makes them feel welcome and works to give back to the local and national community.

Stonewall Sports' name is to pay tribute and remember those that fought for the civil rights of the LGBTQIA+ community 50 years ago during the Stonewall Riots. Though occurring in New York City, it is an important event that lead the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBTQIA+ rights nationally. The name is to be worn proudly, enhancing the safe and fun environment we play in today, while giving back to the community.
